Anyway I got kind of excited on figuring out that "poisson rouge" business, because RMJ had earlier suggested the lyrics involved using a live carp as a sex toy, which is utterly gross. I like this much better.

Maybe it was the language barrier. It was in the context of a discussion of the English version of the song, which I don't like. You talked about the phrases (however clumsy) being appropriate to the theme of the song, which (you implied) involved employing the attentions of a goldfish for erotic purposes. Or at any rate that's what I understood from what you said.
