What's your favorite Alizée album?
I'm just curious to see what folk's opinions are on this. (Sorry, no single or remixes.)
1. Gourmandises 2. Mes Courants Electriques 3. En Concert 4. Screw you all, it's definitely going to be the 3rd to-be-released album! For me it is Mes Courants Electriques, but En Concert has been getting alot of play time lately.

I'm an optimist, what can I say.
OK, it's a little strange to pick an album that I haven't heard, but like a fine wine, Alizée can only get better as she gets older. There's been plenty of sign that she wants to go in a whole new direction, and I'm psyched for it.

en concert! i like the concert verions from her first two albums. they seem so much better. like c'est trop tard. i heard that song on her mes courants electrques albums then the concert one. definately concert. the guitar and bass are more defined. IMHFOSSU. oh hell i like it all.

Most of my favorite songs are on MCE, so I voted for that one. But En Concert probably gets the most play at least in part due to the fact that it is a mix of both albums.

The problem with polls like these is....I've come to love all the songs.....every one of them. I started with Mes Courants Electriques, as it had the first songs I heard, to include J'en ai marre, JPVA, and Moi Lolita (I have the version that includes Moi Lolita). So initially, that would be the pick. Then I acquired Gourmandises, and it has so many wonderful songs....and then the En Concert DVD, with all the extra little musical twists...not to mention Alizée herself. So I can't tell which one I like the best. I guess it all depends on which songs I wish to hear at any particular time, which varies throughout the day and day to day. So liking one over the other is a time and day dependent variable.

I remember the first time I heard J'en ai marre from En Concert. I was so excited as the carnival music turned into that riff we all know and love. At first, I was surprised when I heard Alizée's untamed, not-very-tampered-with voice, but even though it's not as "beautiful," I've come to love that one equally to the studio version because it's so playful and natural.
