how many here are afraid of telling friends, family, and acquaintances about alizee?
how many here are afraid of telling friends, family, and acquaintances about alizee because of they'll think?
I'm always afraid that if they listen to what i'm listening then they might say one or more of the following: -what type of crap are you listening to? -why are you listening to gay music? -what's so good about this? you can't even understand what she's saying? -turn that french stuff off. has anyone told other people about her music and if so, how did they react? |

Everybody around me knows I listen to Alizée. The reactions are widely varying, as everyone seems to take something different away from the experience:
Most guys thinks she's hot, and can't get past the looks. Most gals think I only listen to her because she's hot, and can't get past the age difference. A few (both guys and gals) see beyond the looks and appreciate my appreciation. Amidst all this, keep in mind we are all different and have widely varying tastes in music. Don't let what others think determine what you like. If you like it.....then enjoy it because YOU like it. On the flip side, don't expect others to like what you like. As such, be courteous to others when playing music. If they don't like it, limit the exposure or use headsets. And you can expect the same in return. |

the first time i heard her music (moi lolita) was back in 2002 and i didn't listen to her music because of what others thought. about a year ago, i rediscovered her music and listened to it b/c i liked it and not what other people thought.

Just listen, and get your expectations outside of a narrow box.

Oh, wait, by "gay" you meant "stupid"? I don't have any friends who think that way. Who the hell are you? Quote:

Im thinking a bit about this as well hehe.
well......Its not like im hiding it, but im not like yelling out that I listen to Alizée. Ive listened mostly to electronica, metal and some other genres as well. But now i _only_ listen to Alizée Its not like im telling everyone I know that i changed my music taste. Still I like electronica like Infected Mushroom, Röyksopp and Aphex twin |
