Europe is a much more progressive region than North America. Unfortunately, there are many conservative beliefs that I still hold, so I tend to sit with them :S

And there's nothing weird about being a fan of music you can't understand. A lot of people are fans of Arash without understanding Farsi, or Le Mystere de Voix Bulgares without understanding Bulgarian, or etc. European pop charts reflect that all the time.
Exactly. Most of what I listed to is in Sanskrit. Compared to that French is almost English.

Sanskrit, eh? Interesting. What kind of music is it? I'm vaguely familiar with Bollywood stuff but I presume most of that is in Hindi.

My brothers figured out I was listening to her and thought it was kinda weird, but were a little ok with it because we all listen to music from germany, and japan that we dont understand but like the sound of it. They jsut think that it is stupid that im on a forum talking to other people about her. Other than my two brothers no one else knows.

No, I have no fear in sharing Alizée with others. Alizée has pretty much been responsible for me making it through some very difficult times recently and if other people can't handle it, they can f***kin' deal.

At work, I talk French at people, stick her picture on my computer's desktop, and occasionally even get away with playing her music by plugging my iPod in to my computer's speakers (we don't have music at work, generally).

So... yeah. People know, and I'm proud of it :-)
Nice!

They don't have Sanskrit in bollywood as that would make things original which goes aganist the code of bollywood. Btw I listened to a song which has music similar to J'en Ai marre.

Anyways, the only sanskrit songs whose existance I know are all prayers and enchantments. So what do you listen to Rev?

Yes, anyone who knows me knows of my Alizée adoration. I refuse to be ashamed of her. I have her picture on my dresser, I play her music, my children (they're adults) ask me if I'm still obsessed (it is obsession, but it's a good kind).

Where I work there is a large LCD screen in the lunch room. I have commandeered the input with my video IPOD and shown Alizée videos to the maintenance crew I'm a part of (all guys). First J'en Ai Marre, usually that stuns them into awed silence (maybe just some quiet moans), then a selection of my favorites. They are properly impressed but not in the same way I am. They are affected by the physical and musical beauty but when I explain that I have never been a "fan" of anyone until now they don't understand what I mean - what she means to me. They may ask why I like some French singer so much, but they don't ridicule, not after seeing her.
