Didn't they say her new record label was Mercury? which is eventually from Universal?

I've seen interviews in which Alizée expressed an interest in singing here and breaking into the U.S. audience, but seemed not to consider that feasible. I am totally and absolutely convinced that she was wrong about that.
Now that she's older and, I would hope, has more confidence, maybe she'll understand this: No matter where she goes, the audience will consist of people, and so she will be loved. The only thing that can stop her from being a success anywhere in the world, including America, is if she does not try. Of course, having some (not all) of the new songs be in English can make that easier by providing a "hook" to draw people in for the rest of the material. But hey, when I first started listening to her, I understood hardly a word, and still I loved her music. That was my initial motivation to learn French, although I've found others since. Bottom line: It's doable, and she should do it.

I agree with you Deepwaters. It's easy (and even a little arrogant) of us to think that our small group of US fans are the only ones in our country capable of understanding and appreciating Alizée. Expose her to 300 million people and I think a substantial number would find themselves adoring her the way we do.

"New single predicted for summer 2007. New album predicted for fall 2007. Other information soon!"
Heh -- I really don't know Italian, but that was easy.

Yeah, she most likely will go to England. She always liked it in the past, too.
