Supposedly the public record shows that she and Jérémy have obtained a home of about 8000 sq ft in Villejuif (suburbs south of Paris), a big move from their Paris apartment of about 1076 sq ft. We'll have to wait and see if anyone ever confirms that they are actually living there.

If this is already a thread somewhere, go ahead and move or delete.

741sm (7,976sf) is huge. Looks like they either have a trophy house or they are planning on building a studio in the place.

Hope she likes it. Can't say this topic interests me beyond that, no offense to those discussing it at length with sundry observations on family, career, etc...

Well, building a studio would seem like a rather obvious thing to do. Heck, if I could I think I might want to do that myself. Though I wonder. Sometimes working from home is not as much fun or maybe one could get bored staying at home all the time. Of course, I say that coming from a very different situation than such people as them.

As one person said, it's about time. I think their other apartment was a bit small for the three of them, especially if one does want to have a home studio for composing music. I suppose it shouldn't surprise me if I found out that they just hadn't gotten around to finding a new place yet.

But like I said in the other thread, for all I know it could have been an inheritance. Yeah, doesn't really make that much difference. It's not like I get invited over a lot anyway, but it is an interesting piece of news. If it's true, I am happy for them that they are able to get such a nice place. Seems like the kind of place Alizée would be happy, though it is rather large. I don't know if I'd want the responsibility of taking care of such a place. Though when I was her age, or maybe a bit younger, I think I would have gone for it. The girl grows up and so do other things.

I hope that we get to see some pictures of this new residence sometime.

Obviously the new CD is doing better than many of us thought. An 8,000 sqft home in Paris is a several million Euro investment. Paris and the surrounding area is prime and pricey real estate.

Plus she is probably not happy with people just showing up and dropping notes in her mail box.

How is Alizée to know whether it is a just a fan or some freak stalking her?

I'm betting for Jérémy and Alizée it is more of a getting out of Paris to a safer neighborhood to raise their family.

Again, you don't know how the house was obtained, not even whether or not they bought it. You might also be underestimating the J-man/his family.

Yeah, this was my reaction, too--"Cool, good for them." Not really much to say beyond that.

Real estate doesn't really do it for me. Your mileage may vary.
