Default Tour de france 2012

And so it begins.....
Just a few days now until the world's greatest free sporting event begins.
With no Alberto Contador or Andy Schlek this years tour promises to be one of the most open in years. Looking at the route it's also one of the easiest.
So who's going to win.
Difficult one this year. And could we finally see a British rider on the podium in Paris?
Watch this space!

Yes, it is not as hard as other tours so I think it is a great chance for Wiggins... Cadel Evans, Schleck and hopefully Valverde they all look like contenders to be at least on the final podium. We will see.

Thanks, and well deserved victory today... Well, unless Wiggins has a really bad day at some mountain or has an accident it looks pretty much in his hand. I like the letter he wrote to The Guardian, by the way, honest man.
I would like a little bit more of emotion for the rest of the mountain stages but no one looks stronger than the rest at this point so there won't be big differences between the candidates.

Yes, good days for british riders, and you can carry on winning a lot of medals pretty soon in the velodrom at the olimpics, fantastic team

Course is badly designed this year? There is nowhere near enough summit finishes to make a difference. It suits Brad perfectly with the 2 long time trails. Even if someone like Nibali takes some time out of him on Tuesday or Wednesday he's going to win it back on Saturday's TT.
If Contador was there (and he should be!) things might be different but i can't see Brad being beaten now. Unless he has an accident.
Froome 2nd and Victoria Pendelton to win at the Olympics.......yeah!!

Yes, it is not the best show for the spectator this year... Plus a lot of accidents the first week with people injured, not as many strong contenders for the win as last year, nobody stronger than the rest... and on top of that Sky is the strongest team out there so it looks easy for Brad.
Anyway I won't congratulate you just yet, in case that it brings bad luck he he!
