Yes. As most of you may know, I do loves me some IKEA. And as less of you may know, Colorado is currently building it's first IKEA. Wonderfully, the construction and development of this IKEA is outstandingly ahead of schedule, a little more than a year faster than originally predicted. The Colorado IKEA will open on July 27th, 2011 I'm almost shitting myself in anticipation <iframe src="http://www.7is7.com/otto/countdown.html?year=2011&month=7&date=27&a mp;hrs=9&ts=24&tz=-360&min=0&sec=0&lang=en&show=dhms& amp;mode=r&cdir=down&bgcolor=%23CCFFFF& ;fgcolor=%23000000&title=Countdown%20To" width="250" height="365" scrolling="no" frameborder="1" style="overflow:hidden;width:15.6em;height:22.8em; "><a href="http://www.7is7.com/otto/countdown.html?year=2011&month=7&date=27&a mp;hrs=9&ts=24&tz=-360&min=0&sec=0&lang=en&show=dhms& amp;mode=r&cdir=down&bgcolor=%23CCFFFF& ;fgcolor=%23000000&title=Countdown%20To">Count down To</a></iframe> According to the website, Quote:
I'll leave this thread open for you guys if anyone would care to share any kind anecdotes regarding IKEA, experiences there, memories made and loves found there, tributes, anything. IKEA yourselves wild, guys.

I've never been in one.
All I know about IKEA comes from the <a href="http://thesims2.ea.com/about/sp8_screenshots.php" target="_blank">IKEA Home Stuff pack</a> in The Sims 2, and that one awesome <a href="http://youtu.be/mweZH3bOFG4" target="_blank">IKEA Kitchen Party advert</a> that I posted in another thread a few months ago.

In the child's room, I had the same bed (but in queen size) and have the same damn exact dresser. In the one of the living room and kitchen with the chick laying on the couch, I had that same desk for a short while, though it was second hand and for free. In the black bedroom furniture picture I almost bought that night stand because of how small and simple it was, but I ended up going with one that was designed to attach to my bed because I have a thing with matching sets and the drawer space was much greater.

I can look around anywhere in Sweden, and I know that 9 out of 10 furniture items will be made in IKEA. All from a guy that came up with the idea that people were smart enough to build their own furniture.

I like IKEA too. I have purchased chairs and a number of other household items from them. I really like the way the store is laid out. Our IKEA is next to the Mall of America, which was the biggest indoor mall in the USA. (I believe there may be 1 mall that's bigger now.)
Here's our store:

One of my greatest wishes in life is for IKEA to grow so large that after I tour the showroom I can go up to a small touch screen on the wall and be all "Yes, I would like to order Living Room #LR152_a12BIRCH, please."
and by the time I finish driving home it's already there all nicely set up.
