Concerning the conflict of Alizee and Mylene, I suspect that it has already begun at around summer 2003. Ive seen the interviews where Alizee answering questions regarding her relationships with MF&LB. She was playing back on every interview the same story of how great (or grate) is Mylene, that she can give her advice like sister, mother or anything else if needed, that they can both make decisions on equal.
I see and feel Alizee was lying. Of course Mylene is out of this world and deserves respect, but I feel Alizee's attitude to Mylene was coming worse and worse beginning from her second album if not earlier. Taking into account Mylene's ability to create, plan, organize and advertise (that's the secret of success), without such powerful guru, 50/60 is fairly adequate pop art product. |

I sincerely doubt it. Debuting a single for a major return takes a lot of promotional arrangements (priniting the CDs, arranging appearances on promotoinal shows like M6, printing and distributing promotional materials to radio stations and music stores, etc., the list goes on and on). I think once a single was chosen to be first and all these promotional arrangements started to come togther, everyone involved was pretty much committed to the agreed timeline and product information between all the the parties now involved. At that point in the process, I don't really think there would be much that anyone could really do to change which song was going to be the single without serious financial and/or legal reprocutions. That's my thought on the matter, anyway.

I agree. The guy at the beginning of MJ makes it sound like it was made for a video.

If Lili or her team says there is no conflict then we should believe her. If there is a conflict, and she is hiding it from us then she doesn't want us to know for various reasons so people should stop trying to be nosey. ( I am not calling anyone here nosey.)
I think we need to stop discussing this, because Lili and her team have stated that there is no conflict, and like I said if there is one she obviously doesn't want us to know yet. Let's just wait until she gives us some more info on this topic. Last edited by Tye; 09-18-2007 at 08:51 PM.. |

I'm not sure I believe the talk about switching the singles either, at least not for the reasons given. However, they may have a couple songs selected for possible singles moving along at the same pace as far as promotion and videos are concerned. It doesn't hurt to be prepared and have choices. They also must be considering releasing more than one single sooner or later anyways. It's possible much of this work has already been completed for more than one song. If any switch did occur, it was probably some time ago before all this leaking was going on.
The other thing is, I don’t see where they got this characterization of the fans’ reaction. It seems to me, everyone is relatively happy with both of Alizée's new songs. |

Well the RCA press release page's comment box is flooded with fans clamoring for Fifty-Sixty. I think a few Mexican sites organized a petition or something. I think it's silly. First of all, we don't even really know if it was being considered, but moreover 50-60, MJ, or any other song... I hope it would be Alizée's decision.

Agreed. As I've said somewhere else before, only Team Alizée knows what the final products look and sound like, so I would defer to their judgment.

I find a fan petition for a particular song not only silly, but insulting to Alizée and her Team by insinuation that they couldn't choose for themselves or decide what sort of message that they want to present first. Also I'm sure it is further upsetting/angering to Alizée by continually emphasizing the fact that virtually everyone has obtained a full-length stolen copy of a track that wasn't even intended to be released at all yet.
