During this decade, Calfornia had Alligator Farms where you can spend some quality time with your favorite reptiles.

All three ladies have similar hair styles and I think those go back to the 40s.

I had missed your second question. That's 70s. It's an English group and the first letter of a 2 part name is 'B' in case anyone else is still trying to solve it.

The picture was taken in 1920. Notice the guy has a pole in his hand "just in case"

Interesting clues with this picture. You have the video screens. Tvs weren't invented until the late 20s, so I think it had to be after that. You also have a monowing airplane which were rare until the 30s. But those mouth pieces for the phones look ancient, so I'll have to say this came along about the same time tv and monoplanes came along, in the 30s range I'm guessing.

That is really impressive sleuthing, Scruffy. The year published was 1930.
