Headphones for Lili music!
OK...So I had a pair of Bose over the ear headphones that broke. I need a new pair, but I would like to get a pair of ear-buds this time.
I am posting this here for this reason: I got a new pair today, Turbines by Monster. They suck for Alizée music, and kinda suck for everything else. I need to get a good pair of headphones, that Lili's music sounds good on. The main problem I ran into with the turbines, is they vocals where ok, but the music was just....mashed together. For example, in JPVA, after the bridge, where she goes back into the main chorus, but they add the rock guitar, you cant hear it at all. I want the music to sound, for the lack of a better term, separated. Like...I want to be able to hear the vocals fine, but if there are string instruments, I want to be able to hear those clearly at the same time, as well as drums, guitar, whatever. I got that with the Over Ear Bose, and I hope something else can give me that, since I dont like the Bose earbuds. I posted this here, because my main concern is my Lili music. If the Lili music sounds great, Im sure everything else will sound good too, but I need new headphones that will make the Lili music sound great. Any suggestions guys?

I'll need more info to be able to provide with the best help possible.
I'll tell you a pair on-ear headphones, a pair of Koss headphones does the trick for me. While they aren't particularly expensive they're extremely good for listening to music and does everything you mentioned above fairly well. A little extra bonus is that they're extremely handy and easy to carry around simply by folding them in.

ugh...beats....I used to own the beats Studios, the big ones, they had too MUCH bass on Alizée music. To the point where I could not really hear her, and thats why I listen to her music, to hear HER.
I have never tried the solos though. I like having some bass, but not too much. Beats by Dre tend to have too much bass for the type of music I listen to. Thanks though.

I'd buy the Denon AH-D2000 (or Denon AH-D5000 if I had a lot of money) because they've got a more flat frequency response graph (all frequencies have the same loudness) than any other closed headphones. I like closed ones because I don't want to disturb the others with my noise. And they have low impedance, meaning you can drive them with an iPod. I did not actually try them but I read some reviews and watched this multi-part video (1 2 3 4 5) to make an idea. I hope this helps.

I have Sony MDR-7506 and AKG K240 headphones in my studio. You might be better off checking out what people who work in studios use rather than the typical consumer headphones. Try them out at a local music store. Here are 3 examples that have a fairly flat, accurate response curve.
