Me too...
I tried a long time ago to get my hands on a decent copy but gave up that time since that organisation was a complete mess (MTV/TMF)
I'm a little short on time coming weeks, but I'll promise to give them a call again to see what's still in the archives.
b.t.w: She also appeared that same night in a big lottery show.
This has never been published anywhere as far as I know.

That would be the best scenario. It means it is still somewhere.
I would be happy to take the dust off.

Maybe in the future, like 5 years from now, they will realize there is some commercial potential in old TV tapes.

Netflix+Xbox360 is a very promising direction, years from now we'll see lots of such devices/content sellers. Once they make all the current stuff available, they'll turn their attention to old TV tapes.

No doubt there are some forgotten treasures in that dusty pile.

The problem is that you only know after say 5-30 years what has historical value.
That was no problem with film, books, newspapers, printed photographs (negs) etc.

In our digital era it is so much easier to re-use media and destroy content.
Footage shot on tape or film, you just store somewhere. (although you COULD re-use tape off course)

Nowadays if a server or disk-array is full, the trend is to only back-up some stuff and simply delete the rest...

I'm pretty sure that within 10 years from now, we all come to the conclusion that there is a huge historical gap.

There are also some simple backup solutions available.
