Japan deserved to win after what they've been through the last four months. Also, they really are a very good team. They beat Germany (the defending champion) and Sweden (who beat us). Just like what Hope Solo said, "friendlies" are very different than real games.

I can't wait to see all these teams play again next year at the Olympics!

Best women's world cup I've seen! Great to see that women's football is growing so much. Huge for Japan who had not even won the Asian cup yet.
