hmm does he even come around here anymore? i know he hasn't been posting here at all as of late. i think after that lili pronunciation incident and him losing his mod title, he doesn't come here anymore. i hope he doesn't hold anything against the community here, and doesn't take what happened as us not wanting him to participating here. oh well...

Oh it is sad, the holidays are coming to an end. Well there is always next year to be even better than this year

Ok, this brings up a slightly off-topic point, but Christmas is over anyway so what the hey.
It bothers me when I hear about those who prefer "one community over the other". There really shouldn't be a division among English language Alizée boards. When this site started, the idea was to create a place with subtitled streaming videos. Then Brad experimented with adding a forum, but quickly considered closing it because it was redundant with AF. I persuaded him that having two places to chat was a good idea in case one ever went down. But now both are on the same server, so the point is moot. In my opinion one of two things needs to happen: either the servers separate again, or we merge the two communities. The former solution is ideal, but no one (Riccardo especially) seems to have the time or will to do it. So perhaps it's time for the later. I'm tired of posting everything twice - maybe you've noticed I haven't been as much. Not to mention that this place could use more organization while AF could use more discussion. People are also starting to repeat work on things like translations. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against having two sites. Just two on the same server seems pointless. Ok, maybe it wouldn't be as bad if I could post something here or on AF and be confident that everyone would see it, and it be reproduced if needed. But if I don't do that myself, it seems to take days if ever. It's like hardly anyone even bothers to look at the other forum. Given that we are in a sense the same site now, that choosing of sides is completely arbitrary. It doesn't really create two communities, only increased redundance. Snatcher, you really hit the nail on the head. I don't write on the forums very often, but I do visit them occasionally and have for several years, and if it's one thing I've been noticing it's how different these two forums surprisingly are.
I absolutely believe that both forums would benefit from merging. On this forum, there doesn't seem to be much news posted, and not as many videos/articles etc as on the Alizée Forum. On the other hand, the discussions on this forum are way, WAY, better than on Alizée Forum. What goes on over there is sometimes more like Alizée worshiping, and it gets kinda boring after a while, since there's barely any debate (also, it might discourage newcomers from participating). If the forums would merge, I'm 100% certain that it would a much better community. And probably a stronger force in the Alizée community as well. So, if you guys could somehow make it work, I really think it would be for the best. And as you say, far less work for the moderators and ppl that post news or contribute in other ways (like translations). Edit: And btw, Snatcher, there's something I have been meaning to ask you but haven't gotten a chance. What's the point in having a German, Russian, Spanish etc section on Alizée Forum? The point with having an international forum is to have ppl of all nationalities gathered in one place, right? Now it just feels like a hub for different Alizée forums.
