I think what you don't get clearly from the translation is that their questions and comments about black rappers in France seemed to be of an insulting nature and that is why she got upset.

"I dug around in the archives and found some translations people did back in the day.

Note - At the end she asks for "Olivier." Olivier was basically her manager at the time. I don't know what his official duties were, but he traveled with her and dealt with the PR aspects, among other things.

I

Background voice: And what does she think about the fact that in
Poland the music of black Frenchmen is very popular? The rap music?
Does she listen to this kind of music? According to her what is the
source of this popularity?
(translation into french)
Alizée: Personally, I don't like it at all.
(translation into polish)
(laugh from background)

II

BV: We in Poland, we are perceiving France as our closest partner in
Western Europe, etc. Does she know anything about Poland and if so -
could she tell what she knows?
(translation, but not exact, the woman says: "do you know anything
about Poland? You're here since yesterday. 1 day and a half. So, do
you know anything about Poland? Do you have any impressions?)
Alizée: It's very cold.
(translation into polish)

III

BV: Now we're gonna ask her...
Alizée: Can we call Olivier for two seconds?
(Olivier!)
BV: So say that this is a programme where there's not any host. She
must record it... (?)"

Explanation:
The programme is called "30ton". It presents music charts in Poland.
It's aired on the second channel of Polish television (TVP2). Each
week there's a different host - an artist or a band. The programme is
divided into small parts. At the beginning (or the end if you prefer)
of each part the host says something about him/herself or a short
story, whatever.

The problem:
Instead of giving full, structured answers, Alizée prefered to say two
or three words which is obviously unacceptable if you want to prepare
a programme such as "30 ton".
The other thing is the choice of questions. If I were her, I would
have acted in the similar way.

Probably a combination of stupid questions and bad vibes. When she gets up at the end of the video she leaves a sweaty fingerprint on the table. She was very upset.

I agree. Photos of her as little girl wearing glasses are especially adorable.

This is a very strange interview. I don't find the interviewers questions outrageous and am shocked by Alizee's curt negativity. Perhaps we don't have the complete interview and some insulting comments are missing. Otherwise, I am thinking Alizee must have been upset about something prior to the interview. Her responses that she didn't like French rappers and her only comment about Poland being cold strikes me as injudicious. The whole thing strikes me as grossly uncharacteristic of Alizee. What are we missing here?

I just noticed that the video was actually cut twice.( 0:34 and 0:59 ) so we don’t get the right picture

Is totally out of character, right? We have been so accustomed to Alizee's perpetual smile and politeness during interviews, that this really sticks out like a sore thumb. She is very young here, but look at the surroundings. It looks like an office and table where a company's board meetings take place. Not very comfortable for anybody. Alizee is naturally timid and here we see her shyness played out. Bring that this is so rare, I am writing it off as an anomaly.

CleverCowboy is very right I think, that this does stick out like a sore thumb. I don't feel it's because she's uncomfortable with her surroundings. I think it has to do with the line of questioning and to get a more accurate picture of what went on here, we have to add subtitles to the videos and we have to show the gaps in the video, when they took place. I can do that in a few days, unless someone else wants to do it before then.

Edit:

As far as her wearing glasses, yes, she looked adorable at a younger age when she wore glasses and there are many great pictures of her at an older age when she wore glasses, both sun and clear. But two of my favorite pictures of her are ones where she's wearing this gray t shirt where she seemed to be caught by surprise by someone at a Marie Do event in Ajaccio. This is the natural Alizee. The other was from a much younger age when a member of our forum went to Ajaccio and happened to have the great luck to meet her on the street. This is the real Alizee.

By the way, that last picture is outside the Chez Paulo restaurant.

I'm working on subtitles from the 2003 Alizee concert, has anyone done this already?
It's a lot more enjoyable to watch when you know the lyrics.

1
00:01:59,400 --> 00:02:01,460
ALIZÉE CONCERT

2
00:02:10,810 --> 00:02:12,420
L'Alizé

3
00:02:20,110 --> 00:02:21,430
All the winds

4
00:02:21,430 --> 00:02:23,570
Sweep the heartaches

5
00:02:23,570 --> 00:02:25,420
I’m like the wind

6
00:02:25,420 --> 00:02:27,680
The spirit running miles an hour,

7
00:02:27,680 --> 00:02:29,730
I judge much too fast no doubt

8
00:02:29,730 --> 00:02:31,980
It’s Ok, no problem

9
00:02:31,980 --> 00:02:34,160
It’s just then, I shake

10
00:02:34,160 --> 00:02:37,130
I grow up, so does love

11
00:02:37,130 --> 00:02:38,560
It’s at the winds whims

12
00:02:38,560 --> 00:02:40,900
I love to wander along,

13
00:02:40,900 --> 00:02:42,740
I'm like the wind

14
00:02:42,740 --> 00:02:44,810
I kiss an entire army

15
00:02:44,810 --> 00:02:47,610
Of dreams and flowers,

16
00:02:47,610 --> 00:02:49,270
Plunge myself inside it

17
00:02:49,270 --> 00:02:51,350
I know what I know

18
00:02:51,350 --> 00:02:53,400
Even if I’m always crying

19
00:02:53,400 --> 00:02:54,370
Then, I will say...

20
00:02:54,370 --> 00:02:55,200
Wait

21
00:02:55,200 --> 00:02:56,410
Wait

22
00:02:56,410 --> 00:02:59,770
To say that the wind has changed

23
00:02:59,770 --> 00:03:02,180
It’s not true

24
00:03:02,180 --> 00:03:02,920
Please

25
00:03:02,920 --> 00:03:03,500
Wait

26
00:03:03,500 --> 00:03:05,120
Wait

27
00:03:05,120 --> 00:03:08,530
To say ,that adolescence is:

28
00:03:08,530 --> 00:03:10,680
What we don’t know, because I

29
00:03:10,680 --> 00:03:13,430
I found my love

30
00:03:13,430 --> 00:03:16,000
It's a breeze, a gentle wind

31
00:03:16,000 --> 00:03:16,900
of love:

32
00:03:16,900 --> 00:03:19,620
It’s soft, it’s l'Alizé

33
00:03:19,620 --> 00:03:22,180
I say that love

34
00:03:22,180 --> 00:03:24,940
Is drunk all the way

35
00:03:24,940 --> 00:03:28,900
What she wants, A-LIZEE always gets it…

Yes, someone should create videos with subtitles in English-- and put on youtube. (No one has done this already?)

In particular, I'm curious about the parts where she speaks to the audience. I can understand some of it, but there are parts I don't understand.

Here is a video from my drive for L'Alize. Unfortunately, the font isn't in a color that stands out from the background. I'm not sure if I put this together or not, but maybe we can work together to come up with something better.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZiH...ew?usp=sharing

Keep in mind, different people came up with different interpretations. So don't always accept what you see in a video as far as subtitles. That is especially true with Moi Lolita.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/19Gt...ew?usp=sharing

Edit:

Here's one for J'en ai marre....

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bDL...ew?usp=sharing

As far as posting these on Youtube, that has become a lot more difficult in recent years because they've come down hard , especially on those early year videos. So while we can share them via outlets like Google drive, it's very difficult to share them via Youtube.

Edit:

Here is another song....Gourmandises

Again I have to remind you about the translations. You might have 6 different sites that do interpretations and you will have six different interpretations. In most cases, you can do a little research and figure out for yourself with what the song is trying to say. In other cases, it's not so easy....

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ywy...ew?usp=sharing

Edit:

Ella, Ella...

https://drive.google.com/file/d/12By...ew?usp=sharing

Edit:

A Contre Courant....

https://drive.google.com/file/d/10uf...ew?usp=sharing

Even with the poor resolution, these videos should give you a general idea of what is being said in the video.

Edit:

L'e-mail des ailes

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RkS...ew?usp=sharing

I may have a couple more too.

This is my translation source

http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5529

And this is my first 30 minutes translated Alizee concert
from 2003

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Nuj...ew?usp=sharing

Here is a video that is synchronized with subtitles if your version does not match

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lmH...ew?usp=sharing

I'm interested in your opinion, should I continue with the job until the end of the video?
I can make it in this form, but obviously English is not my language
so someone can correct it.

Mr Coucou, I have a translation you're talking about, I'll include it in the subtitles when I'm done
