This sounds like a good excuse for a big digg.

More likely back in 2002. Since MCE (and JEAM) was gonna be released in late 2002 originally.

I had to watch the vid a couple of times to notice it, because I was too busy checking out the new dragoons. A couple of weeks ago I had stopped playing BW and had moved on to D2...but this is really making me salivate in anticipation of SC2. Amazing stuff.
And any game with Alizée in it is insta-win, right?

well this is made by blizzard, and with the rising popularity of alizee among US fans thanks to world of warcraft (also made by blizzard), im guessing they want to make her more popular and put some sex appeal into the game.
either that or they just want to promote alizee's comeback.

Blizzard's got some affiliations with France. I think they've even got a Blizzard headquarters in France. That's why I think they had Alizee stuff in these games. If you play WOW, you'll notice a lot of things are actually named in french. Some off the top of my head - Bijou (jewellry) and "L'eau de XX". Nice spot btw. <3 Blizzard. My favourite gaming company.

BTW, if there are any Alizee fans @ Blizzard, I'm sure there is more than one as IMO it definitely took more than one person to create these animations. And given the fact that this is the second game that pays tribute to Alizee only reinforces that idea. Blizzard is also my favorite gaming company. Back in the days of original Diablo I was addicted to it so much that I literally knew almost everyone on Battle.net and almost everyone on there knew me. StarCraft was also one of my all-time favorites, and for a long while I hated Blizzard for not following it up with a sequel, especially after the way they ended Brood War (and those who played it and found a bonus mission know exactly what I mean). But hey, I'm glad that they finally came to their senses and StarCraft II is on the way. Plus the fact that Alizee will be in it (well, sort of) makes it even more appealing to me. |
