Alizée: ill-advised facial piercing?

Here's something I just noticed…

Notice centred below her bottom lip there is what appears to be a round scar from a healed labret piercing. Did she have a piercing there? As far as I know, none of us have seen or heard of this piercing, but maybe one of you knows something I don't.

At first I thought if it was an old piercing, that could explain why her front teeth are chipped. That theory doesn't hold up though, because the scar isn't present in any HQ photos from her early career.

This means that Alizée most likely had a piercing in her off-period between splitting with MF/LB and the release of Psychédélices.

Oui. She had the piercing (along with others) during her rebel period (2004). I'd post a pic but I'm my iPod (during class). I'll let someone else post one.

I'm curious as to why you call the facial piercing ill advised. By the way, I didn't know about it, but I did know about the tongue piercing. Now I'd definitely would call the tongue piercing ill advised. Even though they're done all the time, there is a risk, and for a singer to take that risk, I would say that's ill advised, but maybe pleasing her boyfreind meant more to her than her career, so if that was the case, it really doesn't matter.

The only reason I would say the facial piercing was ill advised is because the thing that set her aside from a lot of other singers was her natural beauty. She wore very little make up, very little jewlery. No big hair as they say in hollywood. No war paint on the fingernails. She looked incredibly beautiful, just the way God made her.

Now she is going through a tatoo phase. That natural beauty that set her so far apart from someone like Lady Gaga, is now slowly fading away

I say it's ill-advised because a) I don't think facial piercings look good on anyone and b) she obviously grew tired of it and now she has a scar on her face. I have a few scars as well; I also went through a piercing-and-tattoo phase when I was 17–18.
