Default Idealizée

Here's rough (partial) translation of one of the songs supposed to be on her new album. Just few verses for now...

idealizée
elle est seule sur le sol
coulant sous l'alcool
le vernis se craque
elle sous l'idole

se poudrez le facies
enrobeé de soie
ceux qui blessent et qu'on laisse derniere soi

idealizée
un passé brisé
paré alizée qui n'est plus la

idealizée
juste supposé
qu'elle a tout osé
et lui possédé, un dernier baisé

Idealizée
She's alone on the ground
Running on alcohol
the varnish is cracked
She's under the idol

Powdered her features
Wrapped up in silk
Those who wounds and who leaves behind

Idealizée
A broken past
Avoided Alizée who is no longer

Idealizée
Just supposed
That she dared everything
And owned her, the last kiss

I'm not one to analyze lyrics, but ...frightening words, Alizée.

Ok, RMJ... you know you gotta give us more than that as to sources, etc.

It's supposed to be the song bashing Mylène.

Thanks for posting this RMJ. I just saw a snippet of this song in the TF1 segment, which was the first I saw of it. Was that your source as well?

These are some powerful lyrics and seem to represent her intentions to make a clean break from the manufactured image of her past...

Nah, I translated them earlier but waited the show before showing them since wasn't sure if they were real or not. Got it from frenchies.

With all the "news" floating around, I can't blame you for waiting.

BTW, I think that "le vernis se craque, elle sous l'idole" may be better translated as "the varnish is cracked, she's under the idol". I know this is only subtly different, but it does affect the meaning.

Ok, thanks. I know there can be errors and lemme know if there's more. I don't always get the meaning fully right in English even I know in Finnish what it means.

BTW... It's VERY possible that the show got the lyrics from French board, too... So I wouldn't say that this show really confirms them to be real. But well... I blame them anyways if they aren't.
