Edit:

DALS: the wind changes to Alizée!

After three weeks at the top of the list of "Danse avec les stars" Alizée is intended to give the coveted position in favor of some other contestant on the show. This week, in fact, was nothing short of catastrophic for the French singer: it began with a shift of the pelvis with attached back pain (documented by the cameras of TF1) which forced it to suspend training for 24 hours and ended with a bruised ankle.

Tomorrow night our fighter will dance anyway (given the situation the spells [enchantations] are a must) but with a splint at the ankle and a hip belt!

Here is a scan of the article. http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/6...autepg8qc9.jpg I'm not sure when this article was published.

Edit - Well, I think it's a 10 year old article, so it could be just as dramatized as some of the promo clips from DALS. I've also found that a lot can change in ten years.
nice find.

I had wondered if Alizée had asked the Indian dancers if there were any symbols that would not offend anyone. I believe that she did.

So, here is a quiz. What do the above symbols mean?
Here are a couple more examples.

I like this photo. This was when she threw in the quick JEAM move. She knows what she did and is enjoying the moment.

I'm surprised that no one was willing to venture a guess. What symbol is she flashing all the time???

Well I think it kind of looks like she wasn't faking at this point seeing how supposedly she'll be wearing a belt around her waist for her back problem and a splint on her leg for her ankle. If I'm wrong, she'll probably come out with a patch over one of her eyes too.

Well, after some googling I found...This and this about the hand gesture.

From another site:
Quote:
In classical Indian dance, when the forefinger and the thumb are kept without any gap and the remaining fingers are stretched out, it is referred to as the Hamsasya Hasta, or hand gesture. In other healing arts, this is known as Jnana Mudra, or Gyan Mudra, sign of knowledge, peace and meditation. The circle formed by the forefinger joined with the thumb allows the energy to re-circulate from the heart center out to the fingers and back and is therefore used in meditation and yogic practices.

Other Meanings: Peace, softness, swan’s beak, pearls, jasmine flowers
Other Uses: Holding a garland, tying something, writing, painting

Default got dals?

Here's hoping 'THE guy in charge' is not a George RR Martin fan.

Because this week sure has brought back memories of:

...Here's what happened to poor Eddard Stark earlier on.

By the time I saw pictures of Alizee donning her bolliwood dance costume I should have gotten a damn clue... :'(
If anybody starts dancing a Rumba to "les pluies de Castamere" I'm running like hell!
