If it's anyone from Psychédélices, it really has to be Jérémy Chatelain and/or Sylvain Carpentier. Probably both. They produced/arranged the entire album except for the two Daniel Darc tracks.

(Oxmo Puccino and Darc are both lyricists, they don't really write music. The two Puccino songs on Lili's album were composed by Jeremy, Sylvain, and Kore; the Darc tracks by his longtime collaborator Fredrick Lo. The only other person to contribute musically was Bertrand Burgalat on L’effet.)

Thanks for clearing that up, Snatcher. By the way, who composed PLP?

Also, I put both covers of Bonita on my playlist, and after listening to both back-to-back (the new one first), I have to say the old cover sounds like a bore.

This new stuff is great! I'm not sure what the early versions sounded like that you guys listened to and had negative reactions over at the beginning of the thread, but the one on her MySpace is wonderful.

Lyrics: Oxmo Puccino / Music: Jérémy Chatelain, Nellson & Sylvain Carpentier

(Sorry, forgot to mention Nellson in the last post. Though I dunno who he is.)

This newer version is waaaay better than the original I think. She really makes it her own. I like the part where shes humming to the beat, reminds me of the JEAM humming

I really like the new version and does anyone think that maybe this version of the song could introduce Alizée into the US ?

This is one Alizée song that I'm nearly 100% confident would do well in the U.S. (with a 320 kbps bitrate, of course). That, and an English-language version of Gourmandises, with lyrics that make SENSE (none of this boogie-woogie, foamley ecstatic business).

My favorite part of the new Bonita is the whole "Laa, lala lum, lum lala, laalaa lum" business between verses. In fact, I might go so far as to say it's one of my favorite Alizée-isms to date!

It's official! Confirmed by Zeus of Alizée Mexico! This song will be on a special edition of Psychédélices for México!

Very nicely composed. It's one of those songs you can't help but move to the beat with.
