I've got no draws to any nation in the tournament (my genealogy is almost entirely Scotch-Irish-English), but I like the way France plays and I happen to like a French singer. I also kind of care about Spain because Torres is one of my favorite players on Liverpool.

ahah we needed a ridiculous referee like this the calm us down, but a very poor 2nd half. Playing with 8 alterations is no excuse for that.

Edit: Turkey has just scored! 2-2, it's going to penalties

There must be an Alizée fan in the editorial staff of the Dutch broadcaster NOS.

This clip was shown in a talkshow called "NOS Studio Sportzomer" after the match Netherlands - France.

Whoa! What a game! GO TURKEY!!!

They have reached their expectations and then some. Anything after this will be just extra.

They would go home happy. Perhaps this will help their bid to join the EU.

That is football for you. This is why sometimes I hesitate to put too much of my emotion into a team. As a die hard France supporter I can tell you that France will lose sooner or later. This tournament belongs to the Dutch!

The way the players just switched off for the last 15 minutes was a disgrace to a great coach, who now retires in shambolic and painful circumstances. If I were Bruckner, I would have walked into the dressing room, not said a word, picked up my bag & left.
I feel SO sorry for him.
Thats bothering me more than the elimination!!

I guess that is sad. He was the coach for Czech during '06 World Cup and ironically Czech Republic exited in a similar manner, a shock lost to Ghana. After Euro '04 I thought Czech Republic would become a force to reckon with, they did pretty well in last European Championship.
