We're pretty sure it is real. A fan that met her on the beach reported its existence, and some fans have even visited the parlor where it was done. I know I'm not being good about citing my sources here, but I don't want to dig them up right at the moment. But yeah, it's real.

ah okay, i do remember that article with the tattoo artist but i thought that tattoo was done elsewhere. ok so it's real!

As for when she got it, late summer '06 or thereabouts. It was done by a guy who goes by "Tin-tin," who's a bit of a celebrity tattoo artist. It was reported at the time to be huge, and some people didn't believe it existed at all. The magazine article came out late October or early November.

If you pre-order it through Amazon you should be okay. The vinyl is limited edition but the CD isn't, so they will be able to cope with the pre-orders. Most of her fans reside in France, and as such, will buy it in a music store or through iTunes, and won't pre order the disc.
