I agree with these comments that Alizee can certainly cross over into another genre and still have an impact. La Javanaise is a folksy love song, and her life gives her singing love songs more credibility. Last bit of lyrics in English:

There is a beautiful purity to her voice and certainly many great love songs to sing that fall within her range. Tj Garcia 6 days ago She is very mesmerizing with an Angelic sweet voice.
