Default Cover of Moi Lolita

So I was browsing http://fr.launch.yahoo.com and I noticed on the front page a song called Moi, Lolita. So I watched the video and it turned out to be a cover of the Alizée song.

Yup, that's by Julien Doré, who was on one of those Star Academy shows. He one first place, and went on to release his first single, a cover of Moi... Lolita.

Personally, I detest it, but some like it.

i don't think i could ever listen to a guy singing moi... lolita. i think it would eliminate my sexualized impression of the song.

edit: by sexualized, i mean her singing (as opposed to a guy singing). not the lolita meaning

This cover is number one in the French iTunes store, at the moment. I was reading some of the reviews, and it is getting a very mixed response, some love it, and others hate it. There didn't seem to be any mention of Alizée's version though

Personally, I think it's a great song, lyrics aside.

I agree I really like his cover of the song. Sure the lyrics are weird, but he sings well and I like the rock feel to it.
