Though it may be a long shot, I am hoping the USA shows respectable sales figures. It may influence decisions in the future of whether or not Alizée pays us a visit here. Wouldn't it be great if she took a few days off at some point to come over and appear as the musical guest on Leno, Letterman, or maybe SNL? A lot of people would be exposed to her and it wouldn't cost her much to do it. One can only hope.
Me too, and for the same reason. Wouldn't it be great to have her visit.

Well, these days, there are lots of people on a download-only regime....

Prior to Alizée, I could probably count on my fingers the total number of albums I had bought with my own money. I asked for and received others for things like XMas and my birthday, but actually going out and buying them? Didn't happen much. I can remember the most recent two prior to Alizée... "Hot Fuss" from The Killers, and the Broadway musical soundtrack for Hairspray. I think maybe Sarah Brightman's "La Luna" was in there somewhere, too.

It wasn't that I downloaded stuff (legally or illegally), it's just that I really didn't make a big deal about having specific music. I'd just turn on the radio and call it good, or listen to whatever somebody else was playing. Alizée changed all that.

This is pretty true for me as well. Before Alizée, the last time I had bought albums for myself was in high school back when my Queen phase was at it's peak (Queen is still my favorite band). Prior to that was my first brief francophilic period when I bought (and continuously listed to) Les Misérables, though that is the only Broadway musical I've ever gotten into.

I think I might one of those people who are download-only. It's just easier. I've bought only 3 albums (CDs) in my entire life. Maybe I'll have to make exception with Alizee. I may buy her concert DVD as many of you are raving so much about it.

I have bought roughly 200 CD's. Most of my friends have similiar collections, some have much more.

En Concert DVD is the best thing you can get from Alizee. Its a top quality product too. Excellent sound, great direction with attenton to detail, and cameras capturing her best moments. I'm not sure we will witness something so perfectly crafted from her in the years to come.

I think the question was about the CD. That's the one that had negative responses. Anyway, you absolutely MUST get the concert DVD. The music and the atmosphere are awesome and you get to see Alizée perform almost all her songs with her backup singers and dancers and the musicians and it is of course all performed live. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether you think it sounds better or worse than the studio and if the crowd and live singing and some different/enhanced music is what you want to listen to on a CD. But you must get the DVD. If you don't have a player that will play it, get one (of course, everyone has a computer so...)
