Fifty-Sixty vs Mademoiselle Juliette
Which one do you like better?
right now i personally like fifty-sixty better, but it might be because i listened to it so much more than juliette. Note: this is a public poll. Last edited by heyamigo; 09-11-2007 at 11:00 AM.. |

I like the 80's-ish style of fifty/sixty a lot and it seems to me that I am hooked on that song I voted fifty/sixty but maybe like you I have not listened to juliette too much yet

But I think 50/60 has a better chance of being a smash hit to the masses, So i'd probably rather see it be the first single. But both are VERY catchy. I love em both |

I'd like to hear the full finished versions of both songs before I commit myself to an answer on this matter. Considering I don't want full finished versions of either to be available before they are released officially, that obviously puts me in something of a bind :-P
Based on what incomplete cuts we've heard so far, I'm inclined to think that Calisto is right about Fifty/Sixty being more marketable, and therefore, my tenative support would have to go that way. Just as a side note, I'm guessing the title will actually be written out as "Fifty/Sixty" or "Fifty Sixty" as opposed to using the numbers 50 and 60. Main reason being, 50/60 to a French person is not "Fifty/Sixty," it's "Cinquante/Soixante," and I'm guessing they'd want to avoid that potential confusion. Just a guess.

So what's the question?... which song you like better, or which song you think would make the better single? The answers to those two questions aren't necessarily the same.

sorry, i was assuming the song you like better would be the song you want as the first single.
not what you think will be the better single, but what you like personally i guess is more what i am asking. |

I'm all about ensuring Alizée has a successful come-back. If that means waiting a little longer for a song I like to release, I can do it :-)
As for which I prefer, I might have to go with Mademoiselle Juliette, simply because of the subject matter. I love stuff to do with Shakespeare, and I'm delighted to see a song about that play that doesn't fall in to the trap of thinking it's a happy story.

only hearing two songs, i would choose the juliette one for the single. it is perfect for the single in my opinion.
it is very catchy and almost addicting to listen to, and it is short and would probably be easier for her to perform on stage. i like 50/60 a lot, it is a great song. i just think juliette would be an amazing first single. but there may be an even better one on the album that we haven't heard yet |

Juliette has great lyrics and a catchy chorus. I think the melody of the verses is OK, but not very interesting. I love everything about 50/60. I think it's more interesting musically and would make the better single.
Just to be clear though, I think both songs are really good and I would definitely buy both of them. |
