Wow, that's one of my favorites.

Edit: I was referring to Parler tout Bas. Fsquared slipped in between...

Same.

But on the other post, she can sing...very well too but singing while dancing is very hard. I try and sing while I play guitar. It is hard and I can only imagine singing while dancing, let alone getting tired somewhat through the song if she gets tired. Her voice is magical and will always be. She can sing. She can sing. SHE CAN SING. And I love when she sings, it only makes me even more happy.

That parler tout bas performance is good but I think that the en concert performance of amelie m'a dit is the most brilliant live performance she has ever done.

...that anyone has ever done...

It’s hard for anyone to sing when they are out of breath. Also, complicated dance moves can distract you from concentrating on the singing. Sometimes dancing is choreographed around the song so the harder moves are done when the singer isn’t singing, or they do it during easier songs.

Alizée followed some kind of daily regimen when she toured last time. There was singing and physical exercise involved, I think. I wonder if she is doing that now in preparation for a tour. I don’t know when she finds the time for all she has going on right now.

And I can't argue with Amélie m'a dit, that was a great performance.

On the concert DVD, I thought the songs that suffered were the ones near the beginning of the concert, when she was nervous, and the ones when she was trying to dance vigorously (Moi . . . Lolita, JPVA, JEAM, ACC). Songs like Parler tout bas, Lui ou Toi, Mon Maquis, Toc de mac (she danced vigorously on that one but not while singing), L'email a des ailes, she sounded I thought every bit as good as in the studio.
I could not agree with you more. I fell in love with her voice as much as her beauty and personality, right from the word go. The songs you mention from the En Concert DVD certainly chased away any fears that might I have had, that she could not pull it off live. Another thing many people fail to notice, is that she performed no less than 18 songs at that concert, including many that involved dance routines. How many top performing artists have the voice and stamina to pull off a marathon performance like that and still sound and look great ?

PS: I agree with Addict, Amélie m'a dit has my vote too for one of the most brilliant live renditions of a song, I have ever seen. Parler Tout Bas is a close second though. No mistake: THIS GIRL HAS TALENT ! Plenty of it.

One thing I probably should have added about duets. If your partner goes off key, there is a tendency to follow them.

This works both ways. Having professional backup singers will help keep a singer on key.

She won a song contest at 15, didn't she ?

Could she be more confident at 15 than today... well, that's a possibility...
