Solaris beat me to it :-P The inclusion of the accent mark changes it completely. Spelled correctly, Mexico is third to France and Belgium. Spelled with no accent, Mexico is waaaay in the lead.


Also, on an amusing note, Paris is not even on the top 10 list of French cities for searches on "Alizée," but is the only French city to show up on "Alizee." Lot of foreigners in Paris misspelling it, or is it local custom to drop accents?

When searcing for "Alizee" Sweden shows up at ninth place :

Thats because we are lazy here in Mexico...
so its easier and faster for us to just type Alizee... besides we write what we listen.

The number of results that you get from Google largely depends on the datacenter that you hit. They all have the most important result, but one server cluster might not have the 300,00th listing that another does.

for example the capital of louisiana spelled baton rouge
of course we all know it's Bâton Rouge
new orleans is also a non sense, correct spelling is La Nouvelle Orléans
Los Angeles isn't called The Angels
San Francsico isn't called Saint Francis, it would be completely stupid

Of course she has many more fans. There are many more fans that aren't from here who either don't know about the site or don't have time. The 1,500 on this site aren't only Americans that know her in the USA. But daily we gain more fans. And that is one more step to promote Alizée here in the USA.
