I see Jo Jacotey has been posting some wintery scenes pictures on Facebook. It wont allow you to save them where I could then post them here, at least not in keeping with their rules. Alizée too posted a picture where she said she was cold and I was wondering if maybe winter has come early. I remember being there in January one year I was thinking of renting a car to do some touring outside Ajaccio, but they said they snow a couple of nights before and the roads were closed because they don't have plows. Makes me wonder how severe their winters "usually" are, though these are not usual times anymore it seems.

These days is in Europe really cold arctic air. In some countries it snowed really heavily, cca. 40cm of snow, surprisingly it snowed on Corsica too (not only mountains). But as always, the cold weather will be not here for a long time. It can happen it will be 15°C again, maybe the whole winter, with some cold days.

Corse is nearer to the equatar then countries like Sweden, Netherlands etc, which means that snow and other cold fronts are rare there. The average in Corsé is about 3-4 degrees above 0, which means snow is rarely seen.

Although there can be temperatures of -5, extreem temperatures like 25 degrees can also been seen in december. Mostly old people move away from their country in winter to seek a home in Spain.
