I will say that having a high quality version of MJ (like is the case with many a song) played on some decent equipment makes a difference. I really like some of the nuanced sounds. It makes a big difference for me.
I'm thinking the CD will have better quality than this 196kbps mp3 download file. That will be one of my first tasks is to check.

i just wanted to point out how giddy we were when we first heard this song after almost 3 yrs of alizee absence. some of the reactions we initially had are just so full of joy and in a way so unadulterated, i wonder if we'll ever go back to feeling that way again. this is all before we found out they decided to go with MJ for the comaback single, but in retrospect i think a lot of alizee fans would've preferred 50-60 was the comeback single.

I agree, that song would have topped number one on the charts if it was released as Alizee's comeback single and if it hadn't been all over the internet. Poor lili. Now that it's releasing after the album, I'm not sure of it's position, i think it depends on how good the EP will be, how good the remixes are, but heck!, the remix of 50/60 that I'm listening to is amazing, this could totally top the charts!

While the uncompressed CD definitely has much higher audio quality than any MP3, by 192kbps you reach a certain plateau. Past this point, you won't hear any more nuances in the sound that you didn't hear before. You may still get extremely limited (virtually unnoticeable) distortion from very high frequency sounds like cymbals, but 192 really is acceptable.

Remember, there are very few people on Earth who can distinguish the difference between 320kbps MP3 and lossless or WAV, using the best of equipment and consciously trying to tell the difference.

192kbps is very sufficient, and while the sound may be better lossless, the music isn't.
