Hanta is not just in Mexico. If you are afraid of it then you better avoid the southwest as well (for example Texas).

It's not common, but it is out there.

I think these were the only two good voices to come out of la academia:
Yuridia: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Kw2DgEBdDXY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

and Myriam:<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/shXIlkOXJTM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I personally like Myriam better but she was never promoted enough.

In my eyes, no good voices ever came out of La Academia. And the only good voice going in was Alizée's okay, maybe not so much her voice that time, but she was awesome

yeah. Well that's because you're not hispanic. I'm Spanish-Mexican-american, so I'm familiar with the show. They have way better singers than american idol. You have to admit that those two girls since well. Plus, alizee does sing nice, she's beautiful, and I'm her fan etc. but, she doesn't have the greatest voice out there.

Ps. For any confused idiot out there. Mexican and Spanish is not the same thing. Spanish= spain. Mexican=Mexico.

Just as Americans are not English.

Those two have powerful voices, however I will admit that I prefer Alizée's voice to theirs. There is a texture in her voice that is remarkable when brought out by the right song.

I stopped watching after Melissa and Yanilen got booted off!
I just check it out from time to time hoping they'd announce the return of our beloved Alizee!

Exactly. But for some reason people seem to think that Spanish=Mexican. Also, I was kind of angry when I wrote that comment. haha.

Ps. Yeah, I like singers with powerful voices that sing songs with actual meaning.
Ps.Ps. I grew up listening to Ya te olvide by the original singer because my mom loved her.

Ha. A have a friend who is grad student from Spain, and we always tease him that he's Mexican. He in turn calls us all Chinese. (I'm Korean)

We get along pretty well.

What's difference between appearance of aChinese and Koreans in general? We call everyone as chinki (short eyes and typical chinese looking person , although all north-eastern Indian look like them only)?

Hahaa, Chinki?! That wouldn't be too acceptable here, chink isn't the politest of terms to describe Asians.

I can't write into words the physical difference, I can just tell between Asians, whether they're Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, or whatnot. And Asians that were born and raised in Asia physically look a lot different than Asians that were raised here in the states.

Sorry that my answer is useless.
It's just an Asian thing.
