Well if you're talking about the character with the red hat on, the worst part of that is he's using a stick to poke a turd.
I think part of her wanting tattoos may have stemmed from the fact that she said when she was young, other girls shunned her I guess it was because she wore glasses and made fun of her unusual name (They're not laughing now). She said people around her had tattoos and I think by that she meant family. So instead of growing up with girls her own age who probably would've influenced her against tats, she hung out with people who had tats. She looked to be at times kind of rebellious in the way she dressed. We've seen pictures of her wearing pants pulled down from her waist, gangster style. There was one of the video from her on stage in school where she has her hair in cornrows which I think again of her being a little rebellious. I thought MF might have changed this, but at one point, I saw a picture of her before one of her jam performances (I'll look for it) where she again, had her pants pulled down. So I think she was somewhat rebellious and there's nothing wrong with that, but I think it's another factor that could've led to the tats. Of course, not counting the gecko, the first major one, was the Tinkerbell one on her back. I'm surprised that Jeremy would allow her to do this not because of the negative effect it could have on her career, but just having to look at it as a husband. It wouldn't surprise me if he okayed it at a point where there relationship was going down hill, but I think it happened at a point where he was still in love with her. You also have to look at the timing of when she got several tattoos on her arm in a relatively short time. I believe this came after the seperation from Jeremy and I think a lot of that had to do with the depression that was a result of that. Another thing you have to consider when she got those several tattoos on her arm is she had moved back to Ajaccio. She posted numerous pictures over the course of several months of her being here and there with Pierre Antoine I belive his name is who is her long time dance partner in Ajaccio and I think it's safe to say is gay and I beleive during this period, he was her closest freind and I'd be very surprised if she didn't confide in him when she was about to get another tattoo and being gay, do you think he would've seen any harm in her getting tattoos? I'm sure he urged her on. Do you think any straight guy in their right mind would've have said "Get all the tattoos you want."? I can't see that. I also kind of look upon her as kind of an Opie Taylor of the Andy Griffith show. For you younger members, the Andy Griffith show was about a small town sheriff who was the nicest guy in the world who's values were evident in his son, Opie. Opie had great values. He was naive in the ways of people in the big city. He loved home and family and that's says a lot of how I look upon Alizee. She's a small town girl. She doesn't worry about her career. She worries about family, freinds, Ajaccio and Corsica. So the tats are of little consequence to her. After her seperation, I would've thought she would realize that getting all those tattoos would hamper her chances of getting someone who met her standards into a relationship. I don't think she understood that or if she did, the happiness she got from getting them overrode those feelings. Bottom line, she was kind of rebellious; she was a woman who worried more about local or home things than world or career things and depression led to her getting several tats in a short time. It really surprises me though that she kept most of the tats to one arm. Was it because she thought it would be better for her career to keep one profile beautiful? She is who she is. The tats help define her. She doesn't care about what the world thinks. A woman of incredible character who we probably never will be able to fully figure out. I thought hard and long for what I thought were reasonable explanations and came up with what I said before. I could be wrong, but I feel parts are probably very true and it would some what give me closure I guess you call it, but still when ever there's a new addition as with Greg, my blood starts boiling. |
