Another thing to take into consideration is that when we speak of sales, it believe it's proportionally. As in, how she stacks up against other album sales, rather than just her absolute whole sales.

But there really is no getting around the fact that Alizée has fallen quite a bit. It's a sad and painful fact, but a fact nonetheless.

Its because people were not ready for that music change in terms of her style, people dont like change especially major ones, and to go from one sound to a whole new one scares people off...

It happened with my fav band, they created an extremely serious album, it did really bad so they ditched the idea and went back to old stuff!

Another factor to consider is if sales are enough to sustain her career. Regardless of how she is doing relative to others, if she loses too much money on each album she may decide to give it up. I'd hate to see that happen.

i think alizee don't take the music as a business she take it more like a hobby a passion i she want to make money she must been on an other way like with mylene or popular music not the way she actually makes ¿dont you think that ?

I think it's definitely a passion to her, something she really loves and enjoys doing, but it is still a business, an expensive business at that. We don't really know what her financial situation is, but I believe she needs to start having some success, sales wise, either albums, singles or concerts in order to continue her career.

Agreed, she needs to worry at least a little about sales so she can get sufficient funding to continue doing what she loves. I understand that it's not about the money for her, in fact I don't think it ever was, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to start stepping it up a bit promotion-wise on her part. She doesn't have to go mainstream again, she just needs more exposure.
