There was that (it was a July 4, so lots of people were home and surfing), plus IIRC Deepwaters had announced that he'd had a "hunch" (I forgot the exact term he used) that there might be some sort of official announcement or single release that day (for one thing, it was the anniversary of the release of ML 7 years before), so I think there was some extra check-in activity related to that.

what is the second highest day for user activity?
maybe we can compare the two and compare the events also i would guess the second highest activity day coincided with breaking news concerning Psychédélices as for opening a new market in some region that doesn't make too much sense to me b/c there were 354 members that day unless all those people who were just exposed to Alizee decided that day also join AAm maybe the best way, if Brad has the data, would be to see which members were on that day - is there a commonality among them i.e. age, region, country, specific time of day, concurrence with some tv show... i'm not sure the t.v. show theory works well though b/c afterall most of the users here are from America and i'm fairly sure there wasn't a show about Alizee aired in the U.S. excluding some type of satellite or exceptional cable access i'm really curious as to what happened b/c there were so many visitors and members not only here but also AF how about lillytown?
