Default Namesake on M6 Incroyable Talent

A name sake (Alizée) will appear on M6's France Incredible Talent 3 Novembre 2010. Eight years old and a dancer. Just a fyi.

I wonder how many baby girls were named Alizée 8-10 years ago?

Wow. Nice jump.
Do you have 1999, and 1998 (totally pre-Alizée)?

I don't know how correct the source is, seems a bit weird sometimes... but the jump between 2000 and 2001 is the most noticeable. Here's some more:

2008: 335
-
1999: 438
-
1994: 386

Thanks. I was curious because she first appeared on TV in late 1999 ("Graines de Star") so her name might first have been spotted by a few in 1999. Lacking a more sophisticated analysis, we can call 1994 & 2008 baseline years.

Yeah, Between 1994 and 1999 it didn't change a lot every year, then 2000 it increased by 100 and then in 2001 it increased by more than two times what it already was (600), then went back down in 2002 again. In 2003, it was down at 485 and since then it have fallen back to what it used to be.

At least it proves that a lot of girls are named after her and most of them are 8-10 years old today.

I think that we can reasonably infer that there are over 1,000 little Alizées running around that owe their name to her rise to fame.
