Maybe because he's eyeballing me. As I mentioned before, I'm sure I stook out like a sore thumb to the locals and I'm sure I was taking many more pictures than them. Another thing people I'm sure take notice of my age. I've asked many times before, now that I'm older, am I supposed to listen to Kate Smith songs all the time? People don't seem to understand someone like me can still appreciate the beauty of voice, of dance of physicality. of a younger woman,without them turning it into something of a perverted nature.

I've mentioned before how guys I work who are married with kids, who have pictures of girls, some around 19 or 20, on their lockers inside door where every inch and I mean every inch of their body is showing. All I have on my locker door is one picture,



yet I'm the pervert.

I have guys I work with who send out mass e-mails of girls, many I'm sure who are quite young who again have every inch of their bodies showing. They sometimes involve fruits or vegetables. Yes it's that perverted at times, but I'm looked upon as the pervert. I never save them, I never forward them and I never post them to begin with.

I've shown them all the videos of Alizée, from Alizée Moi Lolita in Amsterdam to her Les Enfoires performances. All they remember is the scantily clad ones of ML. They don't take note that one video I watch an incredibly lot lately is her performance with Jenifer of Le sens de la vie. I love this song. Despite the tats, I love the way she looks and moves.




But people around me don't see that; all they remember is the ML videos where she was so young and think that's what it's all about.

That's one of the reasons I wanted to make this trip now.

Back in 2007, I was blessed with being looking much younger than my age, but now, more gray hair is setting in and I think I'm starting to look more my age and people I don't know and even people I do know question my motives.

I have a couple of sisters in law. They're both great people. I've tried to explain to them about Alizée, but as soon as I start saying something, they start asking questions and the conversation soon gets derailed.

Now with my sister, she always used to ask a lot of questions and I would explain things for hours on end. I showed her everything from the scantily clad videos of ML and JAM, to the fully clothed ones of ACC. I showed her the interviews; the appearances on SAD; the M6 awards. I told her about her marriage; her separation. I told her about the great success she had with MF and her troubles since. I've shown her the videos from Mexico. I've told her about the failures in Paris with Psych and of UEDS and now apparently with 5. I've shown her so many Les Enfoires videos. Then with my last trip to Paris this past January, I showed her some videos from the show and she said "She looks different!", I said "In what way?". She said "She has clothes on!" I knew right then it had all been a tremendous waste of time. People see what they want to see.

As with the autograph signing in march, I mentioned I thought I was a little bit too old looking to represent the forum and hopefully if there is another one, someone else can take over that role.

With this autograph session in Ajaccio, once again, I felt I was a little bit too old to be there in the capacity I was. People will see things in the way they want to see things and in this case I pushed the envelope and I did it because I felt it may be the last time for me; especially of something of a smaller intimate nature as this. Things like L.E. and hopefully a concert, I may still be able to attend; but I think I'd feel very uncomfortable, going to another autograph session.

He may have been a bit suspicious but I'm sure that by now he's seen all of your photos and has seen how respectful you were and how well the photos came out. Next time he sees you he'll probably try to hire you for some family portraits!

Maybe it's time to use these... (I'll probably need these myself in a couple more years, especially when Alizee doesn't seem to age! )
