Mostly because either Alizée looks like she's shooting a hoop, or she's casting a spell, or is striking a gargoyle pose.

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey "la déesse" it was my idea first!!!!!! (confused? haha, i've painted Mylène like that with "déesse pour léternité" above her). yours is almost the same only with Lili xDD funny.
but anyhow, this drawing looks very good, I don't know, one of the bests of yours by catching Lili's features.

Alizée shooting hoops, what's not to love ? But seriously, Barrett, you nailed the coy smile and body shapes perfectly. How do you get that sepia tone in all your pictures, what do you use to make your drawings?

I use two pencils. Both 2B, one is of 3 inches length, and the other 4 inches. Shorter pencils give me some control longer ones cannot. As for the sepia tone, I think it's just my scanner, but there are usually options to give it a sepia feel in any image editing program, but this is just straight off the scanner (something wrong with my scanner maybe?).

Well, I couldn't think of anything else. Angels are not as powerful as Goddesses, so I naturally went with the latter.

I just thought I'd post the other Lili drawings I did a while back when I had just caught the bug. I was nervous about what you guys would say about these, so I posted my best three and neglected the others. But, anyway, here are the rejects that I deemed too crappy to post when I first got here :

Here's the very first one I ever did, made with a random no.2 pencil I found lying around (which explains the poorly blended strokes and rough shading).:

This one here is just embarrassing. I can honestly say the only part I like about it is her left eye. The nose is just wrong (btw you have to draw a picture of Lili to truly appreciate how beautiful her nose is ).:

And finally, this one just looks awkward. The picture I had to work with was a pixellated screencap, so I couldn't get much detail in the face, and something about the proportions are wrong.

Okay, that concludes my stock of Alizée drawings. (Although I got the Instant-mag2 today and there are some potential choices in there .

First one's the best, and I agree about the second. The third one, I think the face is a little rounded on the left side chin (right side in her point-of-view).

I'd have to say i'm finished with Alizée fan art, I don't know, my mind clicks into super-perfectionism when doing Alizée fan art, and well, that tends to mess up most of my work.
