What style should the next Album be?

I've seen some really good ideas on what Lilly's next album should be, style-wise. Just thought I'd put up a poll to get your opinion on a few of them.

I'd like to see a mellowed-out version of her Psyche style. She actually does seem to be more mellow these days, so I wouldn't be surprised if she came out with something like that accordingly.

I was seriously thinking about la javanaise, because her voice is just so soothing, It would be a shame if she didn't have a softer song on the new album

Yes, agreed. And she does it so WELL. No voice modifiers, no backup singers, nothing but a guitar. I love it.

I love this video of her first performance with Jean-Félix Lalanne at an AIDS benefit. The crowd gets right into it, singing along with her... it's great.

And obviously, Jean-Félix was quite impressed, because when it came time to do another concert, he invited her back. High praise from a respected artist for someone who some deride as just a "pretty face"

I would have to say a good mix to appeal to the wider audience. As long as her voice is showcased along with some dance.

Well, since electronic sounding music is my favorite, I'm gonna have to go with that. Similar to UEDS, but more lively. Here is a perfect example of the direction I'd love to see her go in. Electronic, pop-ish, a little bit rock but with a smooth and sexy feel.

La Javanaise is one of my favorite performances by her, if not my number one favorite, so I've gotta vote for something acoustic or softer.

Seeing as how Psychédélices is pretty much my favorite album, I wouldn't mind seeing her go back to something like that either. Acoustic performances and songs are my favorite though. What I'd really love to see is her up on the stage singing while playing the guitar. Her voice with an acoustic guitar is golden. I doubt she has time to learn that skill well enough for performances, but I can dream <div class="background" style="position: relative; right: 26px; top: -500px;"><img src="http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy338/DanielBroManGuy/dragonball.png" /></div>

It's funny how we all were secretly thinking of the next album. As I wrote over at Lillytown/AFC/Alizée Community, or whatever they're now calling it, I'd also really like an album that's simpler and more hushed.

Her performance of La Javanaise has always stuck with me as the style suits her so well. For the next album, a guitar, some drums, and bossa nova will do perfectly well...

but seriously, going back to a Psych sound would probably be better for sales
