Default Rockollection

I don't know if you guys have already seen this very interesting video from Les Enfoirés 2001:
http://rapidshare.de/files/11803292/..._2001.zip.html (77 MB)
It's quite an old song (1977) which is very well known in France: "Rockollection" by Laurent Voulzy. Lyrics were all about vacations/summertime memories. Each verse of the song ended about an artist/band that reminded him of good old times and the "chorus" was him singing an extract of a song by those artists/bands. In this version, Alizée sings all verses and between each of them she lets other artists sing the extracts of others' song (with the exception of the last chorus that she sings with all of them)
Two other differences:
- in the original version, artists were international, mostly British/US from the 60s like the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, etc (complete list here). In this version, it's only about deceased French artists and each chorus is an extract of one of their songs
- those "song-extract-chorus" were very short in the original while they are way way longer here

Some weeks ago, I found on an Alizée blog a short version of this video that showed only Alizée singing the verses, all chorus sung by other artists being removed. I lost the link but it was a crappy FLV anyway...

So just an idea for you Brad: since this video is quite (or very?) rare on Alizée sites, you could use the same idea and upload a shortened version in your good-quality FLV format, also featuring Alizée only. You could upload the entire song as well but I really think that it's too long and that each chorus will be boring for Alizée fans, at least for foreign ones!

(I hope my long and laborious English explanations make sense! )

Your English is excellent .. the fact that you know words like 'laborious', and use it correctly is amazing .. I bet a lot of my friends don't even know what that means. lol

you could say either quite or very here .. both make perfect sense

It's "laborieux" in French and it's the exact same meaning, so not that amazing

I wasn't wondering about English here, but wether the video was quite rare or very rare . Now tell me if it's the same. For me "quite" is like "rather", and "very" is much more...

ahh .. yes you are correct. quite is more like rather, but it could still be used that way.

The title of the song is "Rockollection", here's the link again:
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockollection
and what the original lyrics were (not the same here!):
http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/la...cs_321798.html
(no lyrics of what he sang from old 60s' tunes)

You can mention that you've edited it and have cut what other artists sang from each old song. You can also specify that it was at "Les Enfoirés" show of 2001.

Oh and I will help you with the new lyrics of course
Also, I think that you should leave the last chorus she sings along with others in your short version.

I've just made a fast test with Virtual Dub and the song get down to 5mn16sec without the "chorus" except the last.
