Well there could be a good side to this and a not so good side depending upon if you're looking at it from a fan's perspective. It could free up Alizée to be in Les Enfoires or it could free her up to have another baby. |

I've wondered if she decided to expand the family whether she would disappear for two years again or do it differently this time and be more public? I don't think she would last two weeks without taking a selfie.

The disorder is called selfitis, and is defined as the obsessive-compulsive desire to take photos of one’s self and post them on social media as a way to make up for the lack of self-esteem and to fill a gap in intimacy. APA said there are three levels of the disorder: Borderline selfitis: taking photos of one’s self at least three times a day but not posting them on social media. Acute selfitis: taking photos of one’s self at least three times a day and posting each of the photos on social media. Chronic selfitis: Uncontrollable urge to take phoos of one’s self round the clock and posting the photos on social media more than six times a day. According to the APA, while there is currently no cure for the disorder, temporary treatment is available through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). A man went to his psychiatrist and said, “Doc, my wife thinks she’s a chicken.” “Well,” said the doctor, “Bring her in. I can cure that.” “I don’t know,” said the man. “I’ve come to appreciate the eggs.” First, I can’t believe Alizée suffers a lack of self-esteem or intimacy. Second, I appreciate the eggs. |

Well said.
I would not be surprised if Greg was encouraging her to take some of them. She used to not communicate enough with fans. From my perspective, this is a good trend.

She gets free stuff and/or gets paid for tagging things in her photos, so it's just business.

I absolutely believe that Alizee has had a life-long self esteem issue. As far as intimacy, I think maybe her reserved nature has kept her from expressing all she wants to, but this only becomes a problem when the other person sees it as a problem. We all fall short in some way in this category because there are too many facets to it. I think Gregoire is so well matched to her that he brings out the best in her. She looks so at ease with him and confident. I have become a fan of his because he treats her well. Edit: Quote:
France's semi-socialist economic model heavily taxes the wealthy, which will reach 75% soon, and the other tax brackets are very high as well. Tax cuts just never happen. There is not much incentive to becoming rich, unless you become so rich that keeping 25% of it still makes you rich. Last edited by CleverCowboy; 08-14-2018 at 07:41 AM.. If you were to ask Alizee about the selfies, I'm sure she would say they are just part of the business of being an entertainer. I think there is something to that, but I think she also likes to take them.
Part of her reason for not singing probably has something to do with self-esteem - a major part. I can't believe she gave up singing as an act of vindiction. Last edited by Shepherd; 08-14-2018 at 02:09 PM.. |

I just think the concept of selfies has gotten out of hand though, in general. I have some FB friends who just cannot stop, even posting selfies of their feet, which are not nearly as attractive as Alizee's. I think we all have formulated our own opinions as to why Alizee broke up with Mylene and why she later quit singing. None of the theories are outlandish and was only done because Alizee left a gaping hole and hasn't answered those questions herself. Maybe one day she will tell all and we'll find out we were all wrong |
