I for one want to see more of the pajamas in concert trend. You can be comfy while entertaining.

The pajama look would go perfectly with shoegaze music, don't you think?

I think the contrast of outfits here is interesting. Dancer's outfits don't leave much to the imagination, and Alizee dressing a little too conservative for the performance in my opinion.

Yes shoegaze singers would be perfect in pajamas. Alizee is dreamy, so it would be double-y appropriate. (Shoegaze is also referred to as dreampop)

It does seem like she was holding back there. Alizee is usually more scantily clad.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laskamrS2iI

Alizee talked about how much she loves to dance, of having arguments with her boyfriend, mentioned that Mylene Farmer has a twin sister (I didn’t know that). She discussed her groupies and mentioned that her parents never had to make her do her homework because she is very self-motivated. Self-motivation in children is a sign of exceptional intelligence. She “suggested” that she was not to discuss Mylene in public.

During the filming of one of her videos, a bee stung her in the eye and she had an allergic reaction. She described her first Les Enfoires. After saying she didn’t like Hip-Hop music, they played a tune she selected of Lil Bow Wow singing a Hip Hop tune, “That’s My Name.” (Go figure).

She said she loves her name, Alizee, (So do I). She spoke of her fondness for Garou and they played one of his tunes that she selected.

Alizee said she is “passionate” about data processing!!! (Ok) Her father is a computer scientist. She discussed how important it was for a girl to be attractive in the entertainment business. And finally, she discussed how much she loves Ajaccio.

This is the second one Shepherd is talking about. I had both interviews translated then added the subtitles to them.

I have watched these before a while back, but I watched them again because I always pick out something new in interviews the second time around (and third and fourth, etc.)

I have known before that Mylene is referred to as Alizee's "godmother", but seeing it again in this video made me think about this a little bit. I grew up in the Orthodox church, and they, along with Catholics, have godfathers and godmothers, and they are usually part of the baptism ceremony. Mine were relatives, but not sure what the Catholic "rules" are regarding who can be godparents or not. I would assume that Alizee, being Catholic, would have a godmother who was also Catholic, but I think that Mylene is Jewish. Being named as the godmother would also imply that Mylene was close to Alizee's parents, if it occurred at the baptism ceremony.

Maybe referring to Mylene as her godmother is nothing more than a term of endearment and has no ties to the church.

Thoughts anyone?

I have seen Alizée referred to as the 'marraine' of various events, festivals and fundraisers so I think there is an alternate meaning for the phrase in France. In those cases it seems to me to be an honorary title and with Mylene I would bet it's not used in a religious sense.

That makes the most sense, because otherwise it would get kind of weird.
