I'm thinking of maybe ...

* black with purple logo
* black with red logo
* white with purple logo
* white with green logo
* white with red logo
* purple with white logo

... and I'll have to see what other shirt colors are available. Dark shirts are always very pricey - probably go for a little over $20; whites are likely to run around $16; light colors somewhere in between, maybe at around $17 or $18. I could offer all these combos and more.

I was also considering tote bags, "ringer" t-shirts, baseball jerseys.

I don't know why it took me so long to realize, but ... maybe Brad wouldn't want someone to market the site on things like t-shirts, mugs, buttons and other tchotchkes.

I know he's gotta be busy with real life - just like the rest of us - and this might be something he'd do himself if he had the time. What about it, Brad ... what's your opinion on the idea of the benevolent exploitation of your site's URL ? :-)

I'm going to waste a lot of money to order a custom order from Ernie Ball Music Man co.
Ernie Ball Music Man guitar, with the word "Alizée" written on the headstock, inlayed pearl frets in the shape of a stylized "A".

Now for the actual body...I might do some pondering, what Alizée related sort would look good on a guitar body...

All in all it'll cost me...a lot of money.

i don't mind, worst case it is just some extra promotion. i would be careful what images you use. For example, I saw one of RMJ's images floating around as a possibility. Needless to say he will not be happy about that

Brad, you're SO spot-on right to be concerned about the copyright issues. In fact, that's precisely why I wanted to clear this whole site marketing idea with you before I go opening a "store". It's the right and polite thing to do, and I wanted to be certain you approved of my efforts before things got too far along.

The logo I designed - see post #1 in the thread for reference - is completely original. Anything that I might sell to promote the site would use nothing else for imagery except this original logo - no photos of any kind, since we're really promoting the site "AlizeeAmerica.com", rather than Alizée herself. (Technically, no one but the company that holds the contract to her work can market her in any way, but fan sites and forums have always enjoyed "wink wink" status.)

Thank you for your efforts with the site and your approving nod to the marketing idea - now let's see if I can create some cool stuff that all of us here on the forum can't live without. More to come soon ...
