I don't think I would at all. Alizée isn't known in Canada at all, they'd wait for the album, if that ever comes out here.

It might come out on iTunes, though.

I believe a short clip of a song is not a problem for publishers and artists. It is a means to build excitement...sort of like a movie trailer. However, a full leaked clip is bad. Bad for publishers...and ultimately bad for the artist. In other words, a full leak hurts our Lili.

Market timing is a critical part of making a hit, as is the surrounding marketing. And a hit is critical in sustaining the artist. A full leaked single flattens the hype curve and can upend the marketing strategy. Instead of roaring off to a number 1 spot the song can stagnate in the pack, maybe making the top 20 here or there. Do we want Lili to knock 'em dead with some top songs across the globe, or are we going to sacrifice our soul to hear a song a month ahead of time and pretty much screw her up?

Keep in mind it's not a matter of whether you will eventually buy the single or not. It's a matter of flattening the hype curve. If too many people get their hands on the leaked version, it will be bad.

Again, the 20 second clip is fine...a good marketing strategy to build hype. A full leak release is bad. I want no part of it. And if you really care about or Lili, you should shun those who have it. Don't give into your selfish desires. Wait for the planned release. It will build character (waiting is a virtue for many things in life), you will feel better about yourself, and you will be doing your part to help or Lili...which in the much bigger picture will give us more in the long run than ruining it all in short-sighted selfishness.

yeah i agree with OGRE if you really care about her you can wait for a few more weeks when the single come out
