Thanks, Neoteny! That was great!

Since several previous posters displayed a taste for jpop, here's one of my favorites by Ringo Shiina (or Shiina Ringo -- I've seen it both ways and am not sure which is correct). Anyway, the song is called "Kabukichou no jou."

Default Bond girls!

Looks like our Lili is not the only gal across the water singing about James Bond. Here's the video for Russian girl group Blestyashie's song "Agent 007."

I found an episode of Acadieman uploaded to Youtube. It's just a stupid little cartoon available on local access cable out of Moncton but it is in Chiac (mix of French and English) and thought aFrenchie would like hearing it spoken not just reading it. I don't watch it but will admit this one did have its moments (Mur-Mart lol), but based on the comments (most also in chiac) it is the worst episode, but the only one on Youtube. Not the best example of the Acadien accent but you do start to hear it, and if you go to the Moncton area this is how most of them speak. Sorry the chiac is mostly French, but since there are now more members who understand French I posted it instead of a PM in case they were curious as well.

Part1

Part2
(Jean Coutu is the name of a drugstore chain)
Part3

And uploaded by the same user J'ai mangé un toaster which is now probably the stupidest thing I have ever put on this site. It made no sense to me but helps show the cultural barrier that exists between English and French Canadians. The French complain that the rest of Canada doesn't get them, and when it comes to stuff like this I almost have to agree. This, I guess, would be considered the French equivalent in Canada to redneck humour. Although other stuff, like this by Elvis Gratton Scene de la limousine, I did find funny, notice his Québecois swearing. Go to www.sfockersti.tk for all of these and more chiac and French Canadian humour.

Nobody really does except for them. At least now when I get confused and frustrated trying to talk to them I can say that even a Frenchman couldn't understand them completely (I doubt they would care though). And because it was for TV it was actually clearer than what you can run into in the lower half of the Province (in the Northern half we speak a lot more closely to how they do in Québec).

Good song, she is pretty but Elena Paparizou has the edge.

I listen to a bunch of foreign music. Mainly this band called Parokya ni Edgar and another band of the same language, Eraserheads.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_-kRHazu2Kw Harana by Parokya ni Edgar which translates into Seranade. I've been listening to them since I was a kid since I was born in the Philipines and moved to America 5 or 6 years ago? lol anyways

http://youtube.com/watch?v=8SDM1vVPYZw Freebird by SMAP. Japanese song, don't understand but good party beat :P

http://youtube.com/watch?v=cKn18VbnPPc Fly by Epik High. Korean song, again another good party beat lol. Wait for it to come to 1:28 because the intro is quite long and boring -_-.

Then Alizee ofcourse.

Other than those songs, I pretty much listen to some Classics like Zeppelin, Who, Floyd, Doors, Beatles, a few pop/indie/rap/dance songs come in there too because dancing is fun. Christmas music is most recent in my playlist right now though
