ethanol hmmm ended up costing you the same to use E-85 as it does for pure gas

ethanol is a little cleaner burning but it is less efficient and besides i can't use it in most my cars

now a little 4 cylinder diesel thats the way to go

"Such a shame to believe in escape
A life on every face
And that's a change, till I'm finally left with an eight
Tell me to react, I just stare
Maybe I don't know if I should change
A feeling that we share...
It's a shame
(Such a shame)
Number me with rage, it's a shame
(Such a shame)
Number me in haste, it's a shame
This eagerness to change
It's a shame..."

This morning in Paris, unleaded was 1.54 € /L, that would be around 9,20 $ a gallon (correct me if i'm wrong). And diesel which was recently up to 30% cheaper than gas due to lower taxes (70% of cars in France are diesel) is now at the same price.
Oil companies find lots of reasons to justify themselves. But the truth is there is no limit to their appetite for profits...
My solution : a 1972 honda 125sl - 3liters per 100 kms (or 80MPG if you prefer), and the metro...

1.54 Euro's per liter.
1.54 X 1.56 X 3.75L to the U.S. gallon
$9.01 per gallon U.S

1.56 dollars per Euro
3.75L per U.S. gallon

Close enough.

Diesel 1.08L
1.08 X 1.56 X 3.75
$6.32 U.S gallon

I don't know why you guys in the US are complaining. Compared to the rest of the world your prices are much better. I have to pay around $5.23 a gallon and the prices are changing rapidly.

$55 aint that bad

and niether is $4 a gallon if you look at the price per gallon of other common liquids such as milk, water, and soda it isn't all that much higher priced than you think this sort of thing is called inflation

it happens and most things have gone up in cost as much or more than gas

it doesnt mean that we're not paying that much. it just means that you guys are paying way too much. you gotta think, gas prices here used to be a dollar or just above a dollar. has it always been that high around the world?
