Oh I couldn't agree less. Can't stand the woman. She has next to zero talent imo (all the songs I've heard use autotune), her songs all sound the same to me and her image can be summed up as 'dirty whore'.

Dude, I'm not going to lie. That's basically like every reason why I like her.

I don't know about how good she is at actually singing, but she markets them very well. She has a dirty sex appeal, which I like. Besides, she perfectly fits the "mainstream" pop music stereotype. How good are such artists anyways? Lady Gaga? Katy Perry? Those are probably the most popular singers right now, and I really don't think they're the world's greatest singers.

But hey, as it's done nowadays, the point is not to produce good songs, but catchy marketable ones.

And Kesha, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry are all very good at it.

I get what you're saying... to produce pop music that sells these days you really don't need to be an amazing singer. Although as I see it, Lady GaGa has a pretty decent voice, it's just that the crazy messed up image she's projecting completely overshadows her voice. I preferred her back when she wasn't so weird and could put out outstanding vocal performance like the one below that spoke for itself.
