People who don't understand

Does anybody get shit from their friends for being on this site? I know alot of people conceal it, but i made the mistake of telling my friends and now they never leave me alone. Every conversation i start, it somehow leads into her. Some people just don't understand her, i feel like it's my softer side being released. Experiences? Stories? I'm trying to hear anything to see if what im going through is normal.

My friends don't bug me as much as the people at my work. If I am at work tired, they say "you must of been with the French girl last night".

I had one REALLY bad situation happen at work where I almost got fired over "the French girl"...

I too get "shit" from a lot of people and my friends when it comes to this site lol. I don't really care though. Most of them are just playing around but then some others are just narrow minded, inconsiderate, or just stupid meany heads

I don't conceal my love for Alizée at all! I express it! Through art, posting and discussing on here, listening to her, or even the occasional occurence of me bringing her up in conversation with someone I believe may appreciate her music. Some do get that I'm really just a big fan of her music and all, but some just don't get it. Plus, I think most people are just caught off gaurd at the fact that I could be such a big fan of someone who makes music so very different from the normal rock and stuff that I normally go around listening to.

It does seem to be true that I am not critisized for just being a fan as much as being a member of a fansite though. I've even been called a stalker a lot too... that does get old but I'm just like "how the F am I a stalker???"

I know its just teasing but you're definitely right, some people just don't get her. I feel sorry for them

They are missing out on so much. Her wonderful and awesome music, her beauty, and the wonderful and sweet person that she is.

Anyway, enough of me rambling on about this. I could go all day lol. Welcome to the forum, bro.

I at least try and get friends to admit she's hot, and that is the only reason they like her. But some actually like her music, ALOT, especially since my friend is doing a cover of J'en Ai Marre with me.

I just let people know that she will be in my life forever so they might as well not beat it down cause its not going to go away. So they accept the fact that I like her, and they actually start to like her alot. That's how I've got 3 friends to join the forum and others are considering it.

My parents even don't mind Alizee being played in the car when I'm driving, they even start tapping their foot and bobbing their heads when the remixes are playing haha.

Yeah don't worry about it my friend I get stuff from friends and relatives.My brothers talk about me all the time about me being on here and that I listen to Alizée. They'll be like "your not even French" or "you don't even know what she's saying so why listen to her". It bothers me a little but then it doesn't. Just stay real and represent your apperception to one of the most amazing artist out there Alizée!!!!

My friends all think Alizée is really hot and a few of them even like her music quite a bit. I've been on this site at school, when we're in computer labs, and when people ask what I'm doing it's a bit awkward, but I tell them it's a French singer, who is really good (and if it's a guy I say she's really hot

)

So yeah, I haven't really gotten shit, but if I did I'd keep it to myself a bit more. If they're really good friends, they won't be jerks about something you like that they don't. Friends that accept you are the good ones

I haven't gotten much crap from people except for my best friend who makes fun of her "big head." He then imitates her using a pseudo French accent and calling me a stalker. Hahaha.

Most people don't really care that I'm into her, although some girls have been fascinated by my love for her, and they're curious as to what I see in her. I had this one girl who is really into me actually CUT HER HAIR into the Gourmandises era style hair in order to get my attention. I kid you not.

It might also depend on HOW you describe your interest in her. I personally go into great detail and I talk about specific things about her that I think are great. And I've actually turned some people onto her. Words are powerful.

But then again, feel absolutely free to keep her secret. Not to keep your friends from knowing 'What they are missing out on' (if they see her and don't like her, more of her won't chane that, so they aren't missing out), but because you should really handle it how you see fit. While all of us know the feeling, none of us know you. If you are more comfortable keeping Alizée your little secret, by all means do. I can see why you would. Then you would have your own personal little thing that makes you happy: the music of Alizée. And if nobody knows about it, they can't dampen it for you. I sometimes wish I had kept her my not-so-dirty little secret... Sigh...
