In reference to the 7 EXTRA (2000) Alizée from A to Z that Scruffydog posted:

When asked what kind of music she listens to, she responded, "I listen to a little bit of everything except techno because that makes my head hurt!"

I didn't know what techno music was, so I checked it out on YouTube and discovered that it makes my head hurt.

For me this Video is a Cheesy Mainstream Dance Mix of newer Tracks from the late 2000´s and no real Techno.
You may like it or not, but listening to one compilation on Youtube will not give you a real impression.
When I hear people say that they do not like "Techno", they often mean electronic music in general. Techno ( Pionered in Detroit) is NOT a way to describe all of electronic music and its subgenres .
Techno is often misconstrued purely as the degenerate "doof-doof" music.
One example. No this is not techno, this is Rave music

For me this is Techno. Hate it or love it
