Canal+ La boîte à questions video
Its' a tradition in the show: you can see the following day, a part called " the Question Box", with the guests of the day before, answering some questions send by people, on the web ( or supposed to be...).
So we saw lily anwering some of those questions... I supposed someone have captured it and will give us soon... or not? Anyway the last question was : " sex, drugs and rock'nroll ?" Alizee : " Not at all ! Cocooning and DVD !" ( what? no sex ?? .... |

That happens when you're the parent of a two-year-old. If I can remember that far back.

Question: "The position of First Lady is open. Gonna try it?"
Answer: Too much responsibility! Question: "Why didn't Mylène Farmer want Julien Doré to give his tongue to the 'cats'*" Answer: Quite simply, because it's vulgar Question: "So, have you given your tongue to the cat?*" Answer: (sticks out tongue) Never! Question: "Sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll?" Answer: Never. Me? I'm 'Home and DVD!' *To give one's tongue to the cat is a French expression meaning to give up, as in "I don't know the answer." In the second question, the query specifically is a play on the word "cats," so it was vital not to change it for figurative reasons. In the third question, I gather that it is using the same play on words. I'm not 100% sure what exactly the play is, but I'm thinking it's quite vulgar by American standards. Suffice to say "cat" has the same meaning in French as a variant of it does in English. She takes it with a smile and a laugh, though, so I'm not sure it's as strong as all that.

The background on those two questions is that Julien Doré wanted to change that line in Moi Lolita to be more explicitly vulgar, but Mylene wouldn't let him.
Anyway, you can see the full video (Alizée + others) here: http://www.canalplus.fr/index.php?pid=1786 She was in good company! Dyonosis (saw these guys in Montreal, they're crazy) and Oliva Ruiz. James Blunt. Luc Besson! Etc... Last edited by Ben; 11-17-2007 at 02:40 AM.. |

Ah, ok, thanks. I didn't follow Doré's story much.

Quite domestic! For those who are old enough to remember what commercial I'm alluding to, I'm tempted to say "I'm not a vixen, but I play one on TV..."

I don't think she's playing a vixen any more. We'll have to wait and see, but so far it doesn't look like that.
Again, though, I completely understand what she's saying here. If you have any sensitivity, the wild and rowdy life just isn't much fun, and becomes more aggravating than anything. More pleasant to cocoon with a DVD (or a good book), or enjoy an intimate dinner or bottle of wine or LAN game or music and dancing, with close friends, than to go out and boogie with large numbers of strangers. I can definitely relate.
