In what song does her voice sound best?
I just listened to the live version of "C'est trop tard" and I was struck again by the unique quality of Alizée's voice. Especially when she sings in the lower register she sounds so sexy
I also like Moi...Lolita a alot for the same reason. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_L9ZWh6Uvrs&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_L9ZWh6Uvrs&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Do you have other songs where you think her voice comes out the best? |

I only count live performances as a necessary factor in determining true vocal skill.
I agree with you as well though, C'est Trop Tard. Although to determine vocal level I use a soft song and a strong song to actually grab the median in my personal preference.

Unfortunately there are no live performances of Coeur déja pris or Idealizer (are there?). Those two songs showcase her voice best of everything she's done in the studio.

Here you go Deep...
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hJSWinEI-Zo&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hJSWinEI-Zo&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> I'm too lazy to find a better video right now I also love the quality of Alizée's voice when she sings in her lower register. 2 more examples are when she sings the verses in the studio recordings of JPVA and JEAM.

Yeah, I love her breathy, low-pitched voice in JEAM...

it really depends on your mood
generally I would say parler tout bas and amelie m'a dit if I'm in the mood for something smooth and beautiful for something a bit faster I would have to fall back on J'en Ai Marre.

A quoi rêve une jeune fille
hands down. that song.. is quite special. though not quite up there with JPVA, a very good contender for second place.

I also very much like her voice in Tempête. I especially like how her voice climbs higher and higher around 2:30, that sounds so sweet..
